I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, the home of the Mormons. Being non-Mormon my childhood was different. Most of my friends were related to the church my parents chose. In high school I found new friends, we found that we were all non-Mormon and that bonded our friendship. When I was 21 I loaded what I could in my car and left for San Francisco.

This was the beginning of my real life as a gay man. I had no friends there, I had no job, all I had was the referral to a friend's father. She hadn't told me that he was also gay. He became my mentor as I learned how to live in the big city and helped me explore the gay world of the city.

A few years later I joined the fight for gay rights by being arrested and jailed just for standing on the side-walk on Castro Street. This changed my life forever.

I moved around through other cities and states, but I never hid the fact that I was gay. I just lived my life as everyone else did, but if I was asked if I was gay I answered truthfully.

Now I'm retired and living in Utah again. I've had one true love, and lots of men in my life.

I'm single now and hoping to find love once again. A sole-mate and friend to spend the rest of my life with. I want to do some traveling and see places I've never been before.
